Field Trip, Field Trip, Field Trip! On Friday, November 20th, the 7th graders will go to Hollywood Theater to watch "A Christmas Carol." Money is due Monday, November 16th!! Ask your child about it! **Any student receiving 2 detentions, ISS, or suspension will be unable to attend.

Spelling: Unit 14 test Tuesday, November 10th Unit 15 test Tuesday, November 17. **This test will be a paper/pencil test, not on the computer! If you make less than an 85 you MUST complete enough activities to bring your grade up! Example: You made an 80. You MUST complete AT LEAST 5 points of work to bring your grade up to an 85 (B). You could complete 20 points and bring your grade up to a 100. |
Language: DOLs 55-61 will be completed the 9th -17th. We will also work on linking verbs. There will be a quiz on DOLs 55-61 and linking verbs on Wednesday, November 18th.

| Reading: |
We will begin the next two weeks discussing and taking notes on the elements of drama. We will copy vocabulary for the Prologue through Scene 2 of "A Christmas Carol." We will begin reading the play. We will take a quiz on the Prologue through Scene 2 on Thursday, November 19th. Study your questions and vocabulary from Prologue-Scene 2 and Elements of Drama Academic Vocabulary (see below). We will then read Scenes 3 and 4. Vocabulary Prologue - Scene 2 Cold Comprehension practice will be completed in class on Wednesday, November 11th. This will be a class work grade. Field trip Friday, November 20th!
