Mrs. Williams' class used balloons and bottles to watch the chemical reaction
that takes place between baking soda (placed inside of a balloon) and
vinegar (placed
inside of a water bottle). Students attached the balloon to the
water bottle and
carbon dioxide gas was produced in the chemical reaction.
The CO2 was visible
inside the balloon because the gas blew up the balloon!
